Greetings in the name of Jesus!
To those of you who have been following and supporting the GSAE this year – thank you! Your prayers and financial support have helped us far beyond what I could have imagined in six short months. I look forward to that day in heaven when God shows us the “big picture”.
Our vision is to support the Spokane area body of Christ to make disciples in the Inland Northwest. We will do that by coordinating with local churches, businesses, and ministries to foster disciple-making and sharing of the Gospel.
In September 2014 we laid out for you our four areas of focus for the next two years, which are: 1) Outreach in local schools, 2) Leadership training, 3) Men’s ministry, and 4) Engagement. Praise God, we’re making headway on all four!
The four key projects that stand out as central to our action strategy:
- Outreach in our local schools: The body of Christ in Spokane has been doing some amazing work reaching out to local grade schools. We believe that if we gather churches and ministry partners to discuss what each is doing, we can bring greater fruit from the sharing of vision and ideas.
- Leadership training: We believe there is a need for an organization to train local Christian men and women about Biblical leadership within the context of our own community, at a price many folks can afford, and over months, not years.
- Men’s ministry: Today it seems that many churches in our community don’t have a ministry for men. Our mission here is to catalyze an area-wide ministry to men and for men that we can support.
- Engagement: We believe we are called to foster unity among the entire body of Christ. There is so much kingdom work to be done! We have every confidence that God will use the GSAE – and YOU – to do the work He desires in our communities.
